Most of the photographs in this site have been captured in RAW, which required post-processing. RAW photography can be better understood if we consider how variable light used to imprint a negative to be processed in a darkroom afterwards. In today's digital world, that darkroom has morphed into a host of software. The photographs in this site have been developed in Lightroom 5.7, in conjunction with Photoshop CC. A derogatory notion prevails among a few regarding the usage of Photoshop, prejudging the outcome as made up or fake. This notion deliberately overlooks and undermines its awesome functionality that facilitates post-production in a negligible time. In JPEG photography, the camera compresses the file to create the JPEG effect that accentuates the contrast. In RAW photography, the camera does not compress but save all hue and color details in a large file in its apparent bland presentation. This bland appearance has a wealth of information hidden within, which is malleable and that can be extracted to reproduce how it would be visible to our eyes, had we a sharper vision in cases, that is. Once it is thus developed, it can then be compressed to JPEG as a finished product of choice, if need be, something camera could not do on its own most of the time.
Google Earth image of Central Florida (above).
The topography of Central Florida reveals the greenery and large water bodies that earned Florida's reputation as a swamp. Although newly built neighborhoods and business sites continue to encroach wildlife habitat clearing up chunks of forests overnight, the untamed terrain provides the prospect of their continued survival albeit in isolated pockets within the city. In order to protect the diversity of life, collectively thousands of acres within the city limits as well as outside have been earmarked for wildlife refuge, which are their primary domain.
Last but not the least, I would like to acknowledge Wizzybooks.com from where I have learnt the css codes for designing this website. I would also like to thank Mr. John Gendall of Devon, UK for inspiring me to write the codes in Dreamweaver CC to build this website, which turned out to be more exiting to handle than Muse CC, which is much easier to handle (no code required). Also, I would like to thank MIT for free licensing the PHP files and Jquery library for making the Java scripts available.
